BRATISLAVA. The last time the dissatisfied parents asked the mayor of Karlova Ves to repair the school, she interrupted the council and called the city police for the stir.
The building on Majerníkova 60 leaks, mold and some of its tracts do not work toilets.
Private schools that rent premises from the city district have been alerted to the critical situation for a year. Mayor of Čahojová (independent) sent a letter at the end of last year. When she did not respond, they also wrote a petition that the mayor described as illegitimate.

At the last council of 22 April, Čahojová has already accepted the petition. Parents and representatives of private schools say that communication with her has improved.
« As parents, we are glad that our pressure has not left without a reaction, » says Parents’ representative Peter Hajdin. « With hope we also perceive the commitment to repair sanitary facilities and water distribution in the wing of the building, as well as the promise of repairs of the facade and rainwater. »
The situation was preceded by a joint working meeting with the mayor, informs the headmistress of the private school for gifted children Cenada Martina Mátychová. According to her, Čahojová also promised another meeting.
The city district committed to this year’s Summer holidays It will prepare a reconstruction of spoiled toilets on the south side of the school, replaces part of the water and sewerage systems, and repair two internal rainwater leaks.
In addition, the municipality promised that in the coming months it would also prepare documents for the reconstruction of the facade and reserve money in the budget for the following year.
« Other repairs such as replacement of floor coverings or wiring will be the subject of further meetings, » says Mátychová. « The vision that sewage of sewage and rainwater into the walls will no longer be leaked in the autumn is very pleasing. »
Hajdin thinks that the municipality should also use challenges from European and other sources for repairs. « Therefore, we will be all the more closely watching the next steps of the city leadership in this respect, » said the parents’ representative.
