At the end of the last week and earlier this week, control days were held in Brekov and stations in Strážský and Humenné.
“On the last day of the inspection day, the client was submitted to the updated schedule of activities that need to be completed in order to start taking the track in the section Strážske – Humenné. The aim of the Railways of the Slovak Republic is to operate this section as soon as possible, ”said their spokeswoman Petra Lániková.
She stated that the building part will be completed by the end of February. « In connection with this process, on Tuesday, February 25, the procedure for early use of the track construction was initiated, » she said.
The work is finishing
Currently, work in the railway stations Strážske and Humenné are finished. They are mainly focused on platforms, their roofing, access trails and underpasses, and at the Humenne Station they are currently assembling the second of two lifts.
The work is also carried out on the installation and testing of the security device. “Technical inspections of the security facility are in the final phase. After their successful completion and tests, this part of the construction, after obtaining the license of the Transport Authority, will be put into early use, ”added Lániková.
Still in the section Strážske – Humenné and Strážske – Bánovce nad Ondavou, work continues on the reconstruction of bridges, culverts, platforms, railway bottom and upper.

The completion of the complete reconstruction and electrification of the Humenné – Bánovce section is scheduled for 30 July this year.
Laniková confirmed that the train transport in the Nižný Hrabovec – Strážske – Humenné and the direction of Stakčín and Medzilaborce can be launched earlier.

Require the repair of roads and local roads
