After a fire at the British Prime Minister: second man arrested

Another suspect has been arrested due to alleged arson on a property by the British Prime Minister Keir Strandmer. The 26-year-old was custody at Luton London, the police said. He is accused of conspiracy for arson with the intention of endangering life.

Within a short time, fire broke out both at the house of the Prime Minister in northern London, as well as on another property and a car that were connected with a starter.

All cases have connections to a « high-ranking person » of public life, the police said, which is why the anti-terrorist unit leads the investigation. Previously, a 21-year-old had already been arrested and charged. The possible motif is still unclear.

According to the police, nobody was injured in the incidents. Strander has lived with his family since took office in the government seat of Downing Street, and his former house in the Kentish Town district is reportedly rented out. The suspicious 21-year-old dismissed the allegation of the arson for the police, reported the British news agency PA.
