The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) said on Monday that the false information launched in the online environment regarding the operations performed in the polling stations organized in the country and abroad in the presidential elections represents a ‘misinformation meant to generate confusion among the voters and to influence their electoral options’.
« Given the false information launched in the online environment regarding the operations performed in the polling stations organized in the country and abroad in the presidential elections of 2025, the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) draws attention that they represent a misinformation meant to generate confusion among the voters and to influence the options to the electoral information. For the correct information of the public, the permanent electoral authority has carried out a video clip that presents the main activities that the electoral bureau of the polling station will carry out on the day of voting ‘, says in a statement of the AEP.

The video presents the hours at which the voting begins and ends on Sunday, respectively-7:00 and 21:00-and the conditions under which the process can be extended, as well as the steps that the voters have to travel for the exercise of the right to vote.
At the same time, the Permanent Electoral Authority has transmitted that it urges voters to inform themselves correctly and only from official sources to protect themselves against manipulations that can influence their voting participation.
« In the current information climate dominated by techniques and tactics aimed at spreading misinformation in order to erode confidence in democratic electoral processes, the AEP emphasizes the importance of correcting voters regarding their rights and responsibilities in order to strengthen the integrity and the correctness of the electoral process, » the AEP also transmitted.
Also, the AEP said that all the activities for organizing the second round of the presidential elections are carried out under ‘normal and without interruptions’, the operations being in ‘graph’.
