Advised how to prune fruit trees
Tautvydas Gurskas, a professional agronomist and landscape specialist, spoke more about it.
– Isn’t it too late to prune the apple tree? Some say it’s too late.
– No, it’s not too late, especially the older apple trees – all right. We see that the buds are large, swollen – a very good time to spray from worm. We can still prune the best, because the fruit tree is now very well healed with wounds. We need to know that a good gardener is genuine 3 times per summer: one in spring, to flowering, only because when you pull the branch, you have less rings. Another pruning – similarly in June, when it gives new bears about 5 cm high – they can be broken and will not need to be pruned next spring. The third pruning is about 3 weeks before picking the fruit. If the winter variety is around the beginning of September, then we open the fruit to get more sun, more beautiful colors, sweeter and better waxy layer. Such fruits hold better.

– Further flowering pear. It is no longer able to prune it, right?
– You can be pruned, just see – prune the one that you will not break the bunch of rings when pulling the branch, because you seem to be attracted, and then it’s snowing. You can always cut, even in stone, you can still prune it, but it is a pity when you pull the branch and fall a lot of petals.
– Why should I prune at all? What does it give?
– It’s exactly the same as we do a hairstyle and care for our nails. The fruit is then less sick, less pests, branches, and more stable, better ventilation, and enlightenment. There are many benefits – pruning is always needed. I want to show some tricks that are very important to take into account.

– Where does pruning begin and how is it going?
– We put on glasses to keep our eyes – we protect ourselves. I always bypass and inspect the fruit tree, turn three times and look at all branches well. First we should remove the bears.
– What is it and why should they be destroyed?
– This is the rootstock. The rootstock is the roots that regulate the growth of the fruit tree. They like to release from the bottom of the bears that we must eliminate – who will not yield us, but will only weaken the tree. Another thing is to see if there are branches that are broken, dried or damaged. The pointed growth always causes one branch to break. We must always have a blunt adult that is strong. Let’s always try to have the top of the fruit tree – nutrients first travel, then descend into branches and provide them. Next up is subordination: branch distance from the trunk. Remember – if five percent The rings are fruitful, and there is still plenty for the gardener. All rings are 100 percent, 5 percent. Fruit is buzzing – and that is still enough. We reduce the fruit – it is better to have less, but large, beautiful and high quality than little ones that come together and begin to rot each other.
