Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee discussed four laws and two laws of laws – Cyprus Newspaper


The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic was gathered under the chairmanship of UBP Deputy Sunat Atun today. During the meeting, four laws and two laws proposals were discussed.

According to a statement from the Assembly of the Republic, the committee first discussed the proposal of occupational health and safety (amendment) law and held its general meeting. The Committee will continue to work on the proposal of the law at its next meeting. At the committee meeting, the proposal UBP Deputy Hasan Küçük was also present.

As an invitation to the committee meeting, officials from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, Public Administration and Human Resources Presidency, Police General Directorate, Turkish Cypriot Bar Association and Occupational Health and Safety Experts Association participated and presented their opinions on the subject.

-Four bills were referred to the General Assembly

The Committee was later “Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry (Amendment) Draft Law”, “Chamber of Cyprus and Craftsmen Chamber of Craftsmen and Craftsmen (Amendment) Law (YT No: 278/4/2025)”, “Union of Cypriot Construction Subcontractors (Amendment) Union of Laws” and “Cypriot Construction Contractors Association (Amendment) Draft (Amendment). He referred to the agenda of the General Assembly.

As an invitation to the committee meeting, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Attorney General, Turkish Cypriot Construction Contractors Association, Turkish Chamber of Cypriot Chamber of Industry and Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen joined the authorities and shared their views on the subject.

Finally, the Committee discussed the Law Proposal, which envisages the regulation of the obligations of the temporary personnel working in the public office, and held its general meeting. The Committee will continue its work on the proposal of the law at its next meeting. At the committee meeting, the proposal UBP deputy Hasan Küçük also conveyed his views.

Authorities from the Prime Ministry, Public Administration and Human Resources Presidency, KTAMS and Kamusen participated in the committee meeting and presented their opinions on the subject.

UBP Deputy Sunat Atun, chaired by the committee, the committee members; UBP Deputy Ahmet Savaşan, UBP deputy Fırtına Carnation and CTP deputy Devrim Barçın attended.

At the committee meeting, CTP Deputy Fazilet Özdeyefe, UBP Deputy Hasan Taçoy, UBP Deputy Yasemi Öztürk, UBP Deputy Hasan Küçük, independent deputy Ayşegül Baybars and independent deputy Jale Refik Rogers also took part.
