Activists who want the world to have more babies and believe that ally in the White house – BBC News in Serbian

Malcom and Simone Collins
Collins family has become a voice of the present movement

Simon Collins sits in her cottage from the 18th century in Pennsylvania, dressed in a black pilgrim work apron with a wide collar, cumbling one of four children in her lap.

The weather is 8.30 a.m. and it seems a bit tired – take several companies, one foundation, and currently pregnant with the fifth child, but she and her husband are planning to have more.

« At least seven », she admits, « and as much as I can to take – 12 would be even better. »

This American couple, who is 37 and 38, passionately believes that the world needs more babies, otherwise civilization threatens the inevitable decline.

The two became a symbol of presentism, a movement that believes that declining nativity is a big problem for society.

And that big families are the answer to that.

They claim that they used special technology, during the outbound fertilization process, to record their own embryos looking for traits such as intelligence.

« These studies allow us to know which genetic predispositions for the intelligence coefficient, » they said to the journalist who interviewed them in Secrecy 2023. years.

« We will never choose a child less privileged in terms of intelligence quotient from any of the two of us. »

But since Donald Tramp, at the beginning of the year, he passed the oath for the American president for the second time, they rose that preaching on a completely new level.

Kolins are now experiencing certain people in the White House as potential allies – and intend to use it until the end.

He donated a $ 10 million initiative for the prosperity of the population in Texas, conducting the research of fertility, parenting and the future of population growth. The American Vice President Jay Di Vance also spoke openly about his views on reproduction.

At the ABORTUS Rally, he stated in January, « I want more babies in the United States. »

Facts of falling fertility are obvious. By the end of the century, the United Nations projects that the population of most countries will be declining.

This will have profound consequences for society and our economy.

Some people believe that over time we can adapt to that new reality, but the foundists are less optimistic on this issue.

But if this is really a crisis, then it is something that people of all political commitments should be worried about.

Ion Mask, for which it is said to be The father of twelve childrencalled a decline in birth « convincingly to the greatest danger facing civilization »

And the foundist, at least in the United States, encourage almost exclusively from the ranks of the political right.

Last weekend, a group of approximately 200 people gathered in Texas at another natal conference.

She merged two current properties coming from very different branches of American right: Conservative Christians and members of the « Technological Right », the dominant wing resulting from the Libertarian Start-AP culture of Silicon Valley.

« We are a coalition of people who differ incredibly in our philosophies, our technological beliefs, our family structures, » says Malko.

« But one thing we all agree is that our main enemy is urban monoculture; left-wing collective culture. »

However, cracks in that alliance occur.

Many of the traditional religious right bother the use of out-of-law fertilization and disagree with recording embryos, while some also oppose gay marriages and gay parenting.

« It’s just an unusual alliance of people who agree on one thing: that there is extremely different recommendations and ideas what it can be done, » says Catherine Pakaluk, economist, mother eight children and stepmother.

One of the questions that polarizes most of the present is an emphasis on genetics among some of the advocates from the technological right.

Several speakers at the Present Conference last year was related to companies offering genetic recording embryos in search of qualities such as height and intelligence.

It is something of which people are uncomfortable, on all parties of the political spectrum.

« Converting children in consumer products is something really worries me, » says Patrik T. Brown, expert associate for disputed politics in the Right-wing Center for American Ethics and Public Policy.

« It leads to a problematic terrain. »

Some of those attended by the recent conference describe themselves as « racial realists », and one of them announced offensive attitudes, claiming that there is a link between intelligence and breed, which, according to the multiplication, is simply completely wrong.

Genetician Adam Raderford describes the data used as « fraudulent and racist, created based on a useless number of samples that would not make valid scientific evidence for anyone and least interested in the truth.

« These claims are recapitations of historical ideas of scientific racism. »

The connection with extreme attitudes in motion is one of the reasons some people do not like to be called pronostists.

Catherine Pakaluk is one of them.

« I think some people are probably pure egenists or white suprematists, » she says.

« I’m disgusting and repulsive, and I don’t want to ever find myself in the same sho with such people. »

Could this marginal group find the attention of some of the most powerful people in the American government?

There are early hints that for the tramp administration of families is a priority.

Tramp is 18. February signed an executive order to improve the access to out-of-paths, which has recognized the « importance of forming a family and that our country must facilitate caring and desiring mothers and fathers to have children. »

The foundists are glossed with this and many of them hope it is a sign of what is yet to come.

« If you asked me whether we have foundists in the White House that currently represent that policy, » says Malkolm, « My answer would be, » I mean, Hello, Ilon and Jej Di Vance! ‘. «

Malcolm and Simon are not sure whether their activism will translate into anything specifically for now, but they believe they have an interested audience.

« We filed the drafts of Executive Commands to Tramp Administration, » Simon says.

In their suggestions, it is suggested to remove entire layers of regulations for child care providers and expand the choice of car seats to make more children in the car.

The foundists were in the center of attention, but since Tramp has passed the oath for the second time earlier this year, their evangelization reached a new level

In the executive orders of President Tramp, there was very little by orders of outdoor fertilization that could be experienced as directly in favor of the family.

But in January, the American Traffic Minister Sean Dafi scored a letter in which he gave instructions to his ministry that « to advantage of communities with greater marriages and births from the national average » for grant assignment. «

As the founding ideas are reflected, if at all, in this policy – it is not most clearest yet.

« There is definitely a strong impact of the presentist in Tramp’s White House.

« I think it is a burning issue that all this will be to limit the control of birth and contraception, and how this will be reflected in spending funds such as Rachel Koen, Political Stationery in Wax.

Patrick Brown is not agreed with that.

« If you go to Capitol Hill, and talk to Congress members or governors from federal countries across America, they necessarily don’t even admit that there is a problem. »

As he says, « the internet initiative » is not always an initiative of a successful mass movement.

« And what attracts attention is provocation, hardness and violation of boundaries. It leads to clicks, it gets followers. »

« But for me, it’s not how political dynamics change. »
