The promotion was started with a word of explanation. « You will not find fur in the store, but they will sell it on their website, » says coordinator Bart Vandesande. « If you order there online, you can have it delivered here in the store. Fur takes care of a lot of animal suffering. It is about millions of animals per year. They spend six to eight months in small cages with a floor of bars. This causes stress, fear and injuries. Afterwards they are gassed or elekated. That happens anal or vaginal then and their skin is then filled from their bodies » »
Afterwards the activists showed the shouts of the animals that are being skinned alive. According to BAM, five different fashion brands still sell fur: Louis Vuitton, Dior, Berluti, Fendi and Loro Piana. Only Louis Vuitton and Dior have stores in Belgium.

Global campaign
The campaign is part of a global campaign against LVMH and the fur industry. Other large and well -known brands such as Prada, Gucci, Versace, Dolce & Gabanna, Giorgio Armani, Prada, Hugo Boss, Max Mara and many others have since stopped selling fur. « Louis Vuitton and Dior are the last, important domino block in the fur industry that still has to fall, especially the entire industry collapses. »
The activists emphasize that an average of 40 animals are killed for one fur mantle. Not only the animals are abused and abused according to BAM, but also the workers who work in such breeding are exploited and work under poor working conditions. « However, LVMH and Louis Vuitton are more interested in making winnings than in the rights and well -being of their employees and the animals. You have blood on your hands. »
Louis Vuitton was not available by telephone for comment.
