Elizabeth Peithon and Wolfgang Tillmans.
In parallel to the museum there is an exhibition Northern lights/Northern Lightswho invites you to get to know the northern landscapes and the light characteristic of the region. The exhibition features seventy -four paintings from the Nordic and Canadian artists from 1888 to 1937. These include the masterpieces of Hilma AF Klint and Edward Munka. The artists represented in this exhibition have been inspired by the Northern Primary coniferous forests. The painters have captured seemingly endless forests, summer day light, long winter nights and various natural phenomena. They have created a Nordic form of modern painting that still arouses interest and fascinates viewers.
Museum FONDATION BEYELER Recalls that the Nordic countries have often won the Eurovision competition: the Swedish Quartet Abba hits Waterloo (1974), Finnish rock band Lordi with Hard Rock Hallelujah (2006), Norwegian singer Alexander Ribak with Fairytale (2009) and others.
