According to the ADAC, traffic jams at the beginning of Easter
Five federal states will start the Easter holidays on Monday, April 7th. As a result, many travelers are likely to be traveling on Germany’s roads on Friday and the first weekend in April (4th to April 6th) to get their holiday destinations. We have summarized where and when traffic jams threaten you in this article.
Easter holidays: traffic jams on winter sports routes and to the south
Since the holidays in Bremen, Hesse, Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia begin on Monday, many will go on vacation this weekend. Quite a few are likely to go south and therefore also through Bavaria. This ensures more traffic on the streets in the Free State and can lead to traffic jams and delays.
The ADAC Calculate that at the beginning of Easter there will not be too many long traffic jams, as stated in a report by the automotive club. But: A large volume of traffic can still be expected on some routes – there is a risk of traffic jams. The ADAC warns that there are a total of 977 of them, especially in the area of construction sites (there are currently on the highways), the routes in Popular winter sports regions and could give delays towards the south and sea. Saturday is said to be Saturday.
