According to Amcham: 9.5 trillion. dollars reached the trade between the EU and the US last year
At the moment of dynamic changes in the global trade environment and continuing trade negotiations between the United States and the European Union, Bulgaria retains stable positions on US investment. This was said in Varna Ivan Mihailov, CEO of Amcham (American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria) after meeting with Varna Mayor Blagomir Kotsev.

The position of the Chamber is to promote bilateral dialogue, in parallel with joint work through the European Union, Mikhailov said. Despite US criticisms in recent years on EU business regulations and conditions, including Bulgaria, US companies that are already operating here are still developing. This happens at a time when the trade between Bulgaria and the US reaches $ 1.5 billion, with $ 600 million in the service, which shows considerable economic interest.

« At the moment everyone is guessing, the duties and the situation is changing every day, said Ivan Mihailov. Along the line of defense, Varna also has a lot to offer thanks to its logistics connectivity – a port, a year -round airport, connections in the Black Sea and the availability of six universities, as well as companies with history, which is a prerequisite for the availability of well -trained staff. So if we only take these three areas, we have great opportunities to talk to the United States, « said Mikhailov.
According to him, the trade exchange between the EU and the US for 2024 is $ 9.5 trillion that Donald Trump could not ignore.
According to Amcham, our country exports electronic components to the United States, for the chemical industry, metals, components for the automotive industry, medicines and more. This year, the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria celebrates 30 years since its foundation. Its purpose is to help and develop trade relations between the two countries.
