Accident at the unrestricted level crossing in Ellzee: Collided van with train
An accident occurred in Ellzee (district of Günzburg) on Thursday morning at 9 a.m. According to initial findings, a van of a craft company was recorded by a train of the middle Swabian railway. As the police say, the car drove towards Ellzee, the train is said to have been traveling from Krumbach towards Günzburg. The car was damaged along the collision, the driver was slightly injured according to the police spokesman. 15 passengers on the train remained unharmed. Due to the slow speed of the train, the accident assumed lightly. Numerous emergency services hurried to the scene of the accident, and the Bavarian Red Cross has already moved away again. Surrounding fire departments secure the scene of the accident. The police have started the investigation, and a drone is made. The Günzburg-Krumbach railway line is closed until further notice, and rail replacement traffic is set up. Deutsche Bahn is currently examining whether the train is still able to drive.
