About reason and feelings, about man and history: questions and answers from the Bulgarian language matriculation
The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) publishes on its site the questions and correct answers from the state matriculation exam in Bulgarian language and literature, to which nearly 48,000 adults appeared. On the last task of creating a text, they could choose between an interpretative work on a studied work or write an essay on a life problem. The students could think about Emilian Stanev’s « Peach Thief » on « The Thief of Peaches » or write an essay on the topic « Life – a wheel or a ladder ».
Today, at 5.45, the ministry was generated by the exam combination for the exam of 5 859 375 options. The two-graders of the last 41st task of creating an argumentative text wrote on the exam 4.
A total of 48 082 adults have passed the exam, and the total number of those who have not passed is 1286 throughout the country, the education ministry said. Currently, the ministry has received data on 28 canceled examination work in various schools in the country for rewriting attempts.
This year there was no change in the form of the exam. The Bulgarian language matriculation is divided into three parts. The exam checks the knowledge and skills of twelve grammar grammar, spelling, vocabulary, ability to create text, retrieve information. The matriculation includes 41 tasks, of which:
- 22 tasks with an optional answer;
- 16 tasks with a short free answer;
- 2 tasks with extended free response (text up to 5 sentences);
- 1 to create an argumentative text (interpretative essay or essay).

Questions and answers
The first part of the matriculation includes questions with elective, short free answers and one task with an extended free answer. The students had 60 minutes to work on the first module.
One of the tasks is given a short text with omitted 5 punctuation marks, with students having to place them in the right places: « The novel Count Monte Cristo is a true literary adventure that captivates the reader from the first to the last page. The story filled with intrigue, and the pursuit of retribution is a comprehensive human destiny. The novel unforgettable. «
Another of the tasks is to work with text and retrieve information. The text is about the benefits of sports. The text is also given a diagram with the question « You personally do not exercise? », With several answers in percentages. Some of the questions to them ask which of the statements set out about sports are true according to the text and the diagram.
In the last task of the first module, students must take on the role of motivator. In text up to 5 sentences, they have to determine which age group is the most need for the motivation to exercise according to the study presented in the diagram. They must offer this group two sports activities and argue their proposals.
The exam marathon begins: The most important thing for matriculation
The second module contains 19 questions, including those with elective, short and expanded free answer, for which the adults also had 60 minutes.
In one of the tasks with a free answer, students must compare within up to 5 sentences the interpretations of the theme of human and history in two texts. One is an excerpt from « History » by Nikolay Vaptsarov and the other is an excerpt from « The Man » goes to Vladimir Popov.

The essay gives 30 points
In the last 41st task, students had to write an interpretative essay on the « Reason and Feelings » in Emilian Stanev’s « Peach Thief » or to create an essay on « Life – Wheel or Ladder ». Creating an argumentate text gives a maximum of 30 points and the writing time is 120 minutes.

Assessment scale
The maximum points of all matriculation is 100, with 30 points required for an average 3. The exam works will be evaluated by June 9th. The results of the two compulsory matriculation will be announced by June 11 inclusive.
