Its movies are not just stories, sometimes chaotic worlds that are hard to enter, « From Were Never Here, » You’ve never been here, « Remzi created works that do not leave space for superficial analysis.

Its movies are nuanced, layered. Deep. Through minimalism, silence and unusual staff, it manages to create film worlds who speak more than any word can express. Her films are not « easy » to watch, but therefore stay with the viewer long after they are completed.

It is especially important as Remzi skillfully uses sound and quiet, intercepting them into a nervous atmosphere that encourages introspection, but also causes an emotional reaction.

« We need to talk about Kevin » is probably her most famous film, but maybe the most potential. I remember the press projection of that film at the 2011 Festival. When after the end, the muc was first performed, and then the multi-minutena salve applause. Ovations!

That story of a mother who tries to clarify the causes of evil, her son, with all his complex, painful emotions, reflects not only parental guilty, but also a torture search for meaning and redemption. Remsey is not looking for answers – she asks questions.

There are no simple or easy solutions in her world, nor expectations from the audience to find them. Instead, her films are looking to be present at the moment and feel all the emotional tension.

Remzi is special because it is not afraid to distance himself from « Hollywood » norms. Its work is independent, unpredictable and often abstract. Although not a commercially most successful director, its art is recognized and respected by critics and festival selector worldwide.

It is often considered that its films are conquered not only because of their depth, but also because they refresh the film as a medium, bringing a new language in cinema. But even though her opus is serious and sometimes difficult, Remzi also shows that it can be a film poet.

There is a serene beauty in chaos, melancholic aesthetics in everyday life. No one else creates such a balance – between the intensity of emotions and reflections, between silence and explosiveness.

Through its movies, Lin Remzi reminds us that the film is not just the art of narrative – he is a tool for understanding human experiences in their smallest and most complex forms. And that is exactly why its work is not only relevant, but essential for cinema as art form.

The heart that is knocking for art

This year, Remzi brings a new, above all expected film treat – « Die My Love », which will have a premiere in canoe. This film, based on the novel Argentine Literary Aryana Harvik, carries all the characteristics marked by its work: a dark, introspective atmosphere, narrative force, but also a specific, unstable emotional dynamic.

As in previous films, Remzi will probably re-use silence as a medium for researching the internal worlds of its characters, raising a film to deep emotions and psychological insights.

Expectations are high, because « Die My Love » promises to be another step in its already impressive opus where the theme of pain, loss and search is in focus.

What to say about Nikol Kidman without being profane and so many times? It is certainly not only a face from the red carpet, nor just a name on the poster – she is the heart beating, a woman who chooses to be vulnerable in front of the camera, and a voice that is not afraid to speak when silence is more comfortable.

In a world that often rewards obedience, Kidman chose something else: freedom. She has long left in the comfort zone – the star of romantic drama, the beauty of the cover. But instead, she turned to the films that paraiium: « Dogville », where it moves on the chalk of drawn hell of human cruelty; « Hours », where he tolerates the silence of internal struggle; « Rabbit hole » where pain doesn’t act, but exhales it.

These are not movies for everyone. These are stories that hurt – but therefore remain. Kidman is not just an actress – it is a clamp between the light of the reflector and shadows behind the scenes.

As a producer, it encourages and pushes women in the foreground: directories, scenarios and stories that the system still does not see because they are not « safe investments. » And exactly in these insecurities, it lies the truth. Kidman knows that.

And that’s why he’s not silent. Van Seta, her voice support for women’s rights, the rights of victims of violence and equality in the film industry, still, but determined. He doesn’t shout – but he’s heard. It’s not aggressive – but it’s relentless.

Not look for attention – but change the flow. Nicole Kidman is an artist that is not afraid to be broken in front of the audience. Because he knows that light comes out of these cracks. And the light, when it comes from a woman who chooses the truth instead of comfort, changes not just a film, but also the world around him.

That’s why Women In Motion’s award belongs to her. And her name as Laureata’s prestigious rewards will only further increase the admission!

And finally, here are a few words and about the Debit Film Ameli Bonin – « go one day » with which the Colliary’s Cana Festival is open. With its first feature film, Bonnin brings a gentle and subtle story of return, memories and uncertaints that follow the election of adult life.

It is a story about a sessile, a successful chef from Paris, which returns to the gender village after Father’s disease, facing old loving and new dilemmas. The film is the adaptation of its award-winning short film, and it is characterized by a mixture of realistic direction and music elements.

Despite the interesting attempt of the debut directory to investigate the topic of return, identity and personal choices, unfortunately, there is no stylish boldness, or emotional depths.

It is unconvincing and shallow. I think Bonin with « Departure » did not really celebrate, but therefore, there may be more luck with « return ».
