AA on Taravari leaves government and will be opposition
After a meeting of the Alliance of Albanians, President Arben Taravari told a news conference tonight that they were leaving the government coalition and going into opposition. According to him, the party’s decision was unanimous at this meeting with party officials and branch presidents. He says they are proud of the change in the Albanian political bloc that they made after two decades, but that the changes were not enough. Taravari has announced that there will be another meeting with Prime Minister Christian Mickoski.
– We concluded that last year we proudly brought the change in the Albanian bloc after 20 years. However, however, the changes we saw, unfortunately, did not deliver and daily citizens criticize us. That is why we decided to return to the citizens. Let’s ask them confidence in October for the local elections. When we have been « worth » for about six weeks and if we have our own advisory lists to find a way to support mutual support for the mayoral candidates, but we have failed to do so today that if there is no confidence in those who are members of the Government, if there are conspiracies and any doubts we have nothing to ask for.
According to him, now the party will work better outside the government, be with the citizens and listen to their votes. Tavari claims that there is a great deal of dissatisfaction among all citizens, but especially Albanians on how they are « worth » in this government.
– For example, the balancer has started and we promised in November or December that we will pass the law of equitable representation. Now we are already May 12, 13 anywhere is the law. Maybe this would be a trigger factor, for the balancer to spend these days, to show us that you couldn’t, here we brought it, but that’s a contribution and that’s help. Unfortunately, we must conclude that in most institutions Albanians complain that the treatment for those administration employees is worse than before, which, sincerely, worries us. The European path of Macedonia is also very important to us. I think this will be a difficult time for Macedonia it is very important for Macedonia to be part of the European Union as soon as possible, and as an opposition, as well as when we were in power we were trying in this direction to fascinate and help as much as possible – Taravari said.
Asked whether the fact that one minister and one MP are not with them means that they are separated from the party, Taravari denied.
– We heard with Fetai, on the road, not in Macedonia, with Salimi we lunch at 15:00 there are family problems, traveling to Struga. Here are they except Arben Fetai, who is out of the country – said Taravari.
With DUI so far, Taravari says, there is no agreement, but there has been some communication. He said they are practically resigned, but they will not leave the institutions so they can function and go when new people are appointed.
– In the local elections we expect AA to be one of the important factors in the Albanians. We will support all municipalities where the Albanian candidate should be supported. Our parliamentary group is compact, how the government will work will ask the Prime Minister. I hope that we will have as many councilors, and as many quality mayoral candidates, we are also thinking of a candidate for the Municipality of Tetovo – Taravari responded to journalist questions about future actions.
He announced that despite leaving in opposition he would meet with Prime Minister Christian Mickoski, but also with opposition SDSM leader Venko Filipce.
