A warning of the 1st degree before the wind. Thermometers will show 27 degrees.
The upcoming day will bring weather contrast: on the one hand high temperatures, on the other – dangerous conditions in the mountains. In many places of the country, residents will be able to enjoy the sun and almost summer warmth. However, people staying in the southwest should be careful due to dangerous gusts of wind. Check where the weather may surprise you the most and what to pay special attention to.
Strong wind in the Sudetes. A meteorological warning applies
The Institute of Meteorology and Water Management issued a first degree alert, which applies to the Sudeten undergrowth regions. The warning is valid from 21:00 on Wednesday to noon on Thursday. In these areas, strong gusts of wind are expected, the speed of which can reach up to 80 km/h.
IMGW informs that it can be particularly dangerous in the peak parties of the Sudetes, where the wind can exceed 110 km/h. In the Tatras, however, gusts can reach 85 km/h. As the synoptic Kamil Walczak emphasizes, such conditions are typical for transitional periods between seasons and can pose a real threat to people staying outside.
Weather in Poland. A warm day with moderate cloudiness
Most of the country will enjoy a cheerful aura on Thursday. Forecasts provide for small or moderate cloudiness and a lack of rainfall. The temperatures will be extremely high for mid -April – from 23 to 27 degrees Celsius. The warmest will be in the center of Poland, where mercury bars can reach 27 degrees C.
It will be slightly cooler in the north and in mountain areas – there temperatures will fall to about 21 degrees C. The lowest values are expected for the Hel Peninsula – only 11 degrees C. The cooler climate at the sea is the effect of the impact of stronger winds, which will also be felt in other regions of the country.
Night with fleeting rain and high temperature
The night from Thursday to Friday will not bring major rainfall in the east and northeast of the country – it will be cheerful there. In other regions, temporary rainfall is possible, especially in the second part of the night. Despite the cloudiness, the temperature will remain at a high level.
Night values will be from 11 to 16 degrees Celsius, which is unusual for April. The wind will be weak or moderate, with the dominance of the southern directions. In mountain ranges, however, a periodic increase in his strength is possible.
