A tragic accident in Mielno. A couple of brides died on the spot
– They were together for over two years, they planned a wedding. This is an unimaginable tragedy – says one of the villagers from which Marek came from. They rode a motorcycle towards Olsztyn, when suddenly a car from the opposite turned to the left, arrived in their way. They had no chance of braking or saving life. Everything happened in a split second – he adds.
The collision force was huge. The motorcycle fell into parts and stood on fire. In Ford, in addition to the driver, there were four more people, including three children. Passengers of the car did not suffer serious injuries.
The driver was sober. Her blood was taken for research
The police confirmed that the 31-year-old Ford driver was sober at the time of the accident. According to the procedures, her blood was taken to analyze for the presence of psychoactive substances. If she is guilty of causing a fatal accident, she is punishable by up to eight years imprisonment.
Families of the victims are devastated. – The bride and groom will be buried in separate graves – says a familiar family. – Marek will rest in his hometown, while the urn with Marta’s ashes will be laid in a family grave at her mother. – Families would like to symbolically connect them, but the decision about the burial place was already made – he adds.
