A ship driven into a Norwegian man’s garden in Norway

A Norwegian man woke up this morning to a 135 -meter container ship crashed into his garden. The NCL Salten cargo ship ran to Zena on Thursday before 5 am after sailing to the Trondheim-Fjord, Western Orkanger. The craft was about 16 knots (30 km/h) towards the coast, then stopped in Johan Helberg’s garden, not far from its house.

It was not Helberg, but one of his neighbors, who was ringing at the man. Helberg then looked out the window … and saw the ship’s nose.

« I went to the window and I was quite shocked when I saw a big ship. I had to bend to see the top. It was so unrealistic » – The man told me, adding: The ship was very close to his house.

On board the ship registered in Cyprus, 16 members of the crew, including Norwegians, Lithuanians, Ukrainians and Russians, were on board. No reports of injured or oil pollution were reported. Police are investigating the incident and a suspect has already been identified from the ship. They questioned the crew and set up several theories, including the technical error and the human omission.
