A Pope, a US President, a Kremlin boss-Diepresse.com
What sounds like the beginning of a joke describes the seating arrangements in a past world.
Now coping with the past is already the order of the past. The younger ones do not understand the excitement that the death of Pope Francis and the following conclave triggered among the members of my generation. The speculation, the rules of the game in the pope election, the waiting for the white smoke, that is nothing more than another streaming series with good and bad, all sorts of conspiracy, cliffhangers and an end that does not all satisfy.
For my generation there was only one pope Johannes Paul II. He was always there, in our adolescence and also afterwards when the stable seating arrangement in the world – there Ronald Reaganthere Michail Gorbachev – began to dissolve and things became confusing. The death of John Paul II also marked the end of the fusion of person and office.
Bruno Kreisky was the Federal Chancellor
What is impressive as a young person is not so easy to take off. You only appreciate changes later. As Bruno Kreisky When Chancellor abdicated, it seemed as if he had also taken the office with him. The situation was similar with the old school director, who virtually embodied the house and made the touch of eternity and a whole mountain of dignity disappear. You could also say it was time for a breath of fresh air.
Ketchup and pickle gurkerln
Early embossing also affects the taste, especially the feeling of authenticity. Anyone who grew up with Felix-Ketchup may like the most sophisticated, finest other ketchup, but it is not ketchup. Anyone who has dipped their first French fries in Heinz-Ketchup is this taste forever. Likewise, you can go with potato chips, pickle gurks, tonic water and of course vanilla biscuits. Shape the first time.
Whoever becomes the new pope can no longer be the real one.
