A picture of Zelenski sparked indignation in Moscow

A photo with the Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski, posting in front of a painting that shows the Kremlin in flames and published by Time magazine Moscow on Monday, reports the DPA agency.

« This probably illustrates the best level of intellectual development and the inner state of the one who poses for images like this, » said the spokesman of the Russian Presidency, Dmitri Peskov.

About that painting, made in 2022 by the Georgian artist Sandro Antadze and called ‘Vis’, is said to be for President Zelenski the favorite symbol of victory he wants in the war with Russia.

According to Time magazine, painting is in a room behind the Ukrainian president’s office. The same painting was exposed to be visible in the New Year’s message addressed by Zelenski on December 31, 2023. He said in that message that those who bring hell to Ukraine will see him one day from his own windows.

The same magazine, which interviewed Zelenski and published an article accompanied by the respective painting, writes that another painting, which shows a Russian military ship submerged in the Black Sea in 2022, hangs just above the Ukrainian president’s bed. Another painting illustrates Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the territory of Russia.

Speaking of these paintings, Zelenski said to Time magazine: ‘Each of them is about victory (…) I live there.’
