As « Fakt » unofficially determined, he is a 22-year-old law student who, on Wednesday evening, on May 7 committed a brutal crime at the campus of the University of Warsaw. The attacker killed a 53-year-old employee of the university, mother of three children. He also hurt a university guard who tried to help her.
The photo was published on the popular « Polish Service » profile on Facebook. As we confirmed, the photo is authentic. It was made just after the suspect is arrested, who is currently in the police detention center. Precautions typical of people who may pose a threat to themselves and others were applied to the man. Hence the protective caftan and a special protective helmet.

The shocking crime took place on Wednesday, around 18.40, at the Auditorium Maximum. According to the accounts of witnesses, a 53-year-old woman closed the building door when the student attacked her with an ax. The injuries were very serious. The woman died on the spot. A 39-year-old guard was also injured who tried to intervene. He also went to the hospital with serious hand and head injuries. Fortunately, his life is not in danger.
At the time of the attack on the campus, there was an officer of the State Protection Service who reacted immediately. According to the recording published on the web, he helped the attacker overwhelming the telescopic stick.
Who is a detained student?
The detained 22-year-old comes from Gdynia, he was a third year student. Rector of the University of Warsaw, prof. Alojzy Nowak, revealed that he was « a very good high school student and a student. » « He did not stand out either one or the other, » he noted. His motifs still remain unknown. The audition is to take place in May 8.
Mourning at the university
The university is in mourning. A university employee, mother of three children, known and respected in the academic environment, died. The university authorities declared help to the victim’s family and made public condolences. The day after the tragedy, all classes and events were canceled. This year’s Juwenalia was also postponed. On Thursday, May 8 at 13 A ceremony is planned to commemorate the died before the Auditorium Maximum.
