A peaceful mind is not a luxury – is a prerequisite for success

In the podcast Superfold we hosted dr. Andrei Rus, a doctor of anthropology and one of the leading teachers of transcendental meditation in Slovenia. We talked to him about why calmness is not a sign of withdrawal, but a source of power – and how each of us can strengthen our psychological resistance, creativity and inner balance with a simple but extremely effective technique.

If there were a method that could significantly reduce stress in twenty minutes, improve focus and even slow down aging – would it give it a chance? Transcendental meditation (TM) is not a religion, it is not a fashion fly and there is no placebo. It is a proven practice with more than six hundred scientific studies, which is used by more and more successful individuals today – from directors to artists. And as Dr. Russian: “A peaceful mind is not a luxury. Is a tool that everyone should have. «

Silence is not passivity – is service for the mind

At a time when digital noise, notices, information and rush, we are overwhelmed, calming is often perceived as luxury or even as an escape. But Rus points out that TM is not a retreat from reality, but a way to return to it stronger. “This is not a waste of time. It’s like a boxing stop during Formula One race. You don’t get to your destination without this, ”he explains. Twenty minutes a day, in the morning and in the evening, means that a person recharges internal batteries, cleanses the mind and deals with challenges with greater clarity.

Success without inner peace is an empty shell

For dr. Russian success is not a matter of position, profit or recognition. “In the end, everyone wants to be happy. Everything we do – we buy, build, achieve – has a single goal: to make us feel good. ”TM helps the individual establish a balance from which both personal and business excellence grow. It is therefore no surprise that many successful leaders and creators around the world – including Ray Dalio and David Lynch – swear by regular meditation.

From stress to clarity: scientifically proven effects

TM is not philosophy, not religion, no New Age fashion. It is a neutral, universal technique that has been shown to reduce stress, improve sleep, lower blood pressure and even slow down the aging process. “EEG brain footage during meditation show greater coherence – different parts of the brain start acting more coherently than the orchestra. And that means better decision -making, more creativity and greater emotional stability, « explains Rus.

After a few days of regular practice, people feel more inner peace, better focus, well -being. Harvard Medical School reports on measurable effects after eight weeks. The World Health Organization, however, highlights a 50 % reduction in symptoms of depression in those who meditate regularly.

In Japan, TM is part of the recommended practice by the Ministry of Labor. Studies from corporations there indicate greater work efficiency, less sick leave and improved working climate. In Slovenia, more and more entrepreneurs and leaders are introducing this practice into their daily routine. « When the leader meditates every day, it changes his presence – he sees a broader picture, better leads people, making more complex decisions, » says Rus. As a result, organizational culture also changes – it becomes more open, less reactive and more successful in the long run.

No need to believe – it’s enough to try

Transcendental meditation is simple and effortless. It does not require special knowledge, not a life change. “This is not a matter of belief. This is a matter of experience. As with running – until you run, you don’t know how good you can feel, « says Rus. And again: “Meditation does not do miracles. But it helps a person to find what he or she already has – clarity, power and peace. «
