A teacher from Mikołów is dead. The drama began in Egypt
This story moved everyone. Grzegorz – physical education teacher from Primary School No. 1 in Mikołów – In February he flew for a short winter vacation to Egypt. There, suddenly, the aneurysm was cracked in his brain. In a critical state he found the operating theater in Hurghada. Doctors fought for his life for many hours.
The condition was serious. Each day of hospitalization meant another thousand euros, which did not include insurance. Family and friends started with a dramatic collection – the need was huge: a million zlotys for treatment, stay and specialized transport to the country.
Fast response to the appeal
The internet answered with a heart. Money was paid by students, friends and graduates. Someone wrote: « Mr. Grzegorz once saved my life, now I can help him. » Others added: « Grzesiu, we are waiting for you. You must come back. » There was a great stir in a small city.
On March 8, he managed to bring him to Poland. He found an intensive care unit. Everyone kept their fingers crossed. But on Monday – March 24 – the heart stopped beating.
Mr. Grzegorz He was not only a teacher. He was a man who inspired, helped and was involved. « Always full of energy, always with passion, » his friends say.
