A nightmare accident in Krosno. The prosecutor’s office is charged
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Krosno initiated an investigation into a nightmare accident that happened to the airport, where the BMW driver, during the race at 1/4 mile, entered a group of viewers.
Father and son sat in the race behind the wheel, and the tragic final came almost at the finish. The younger player lost control of the vehicle and entered a group of followers. 17 people were injured, including-as « Fakt » found out-an 18-year-old girl who came in a serious condition to the intensive care unit in the hospital in Rzeszów.
The case was officially taken over by prosecutors from Krosno, who two days after the accident charged two men. It is about 27-year-old Patryk Z., a BMW driver and 39-year-old Michał R., responsible for organizing the event. Both were detained right after the accident.
– These are allegations of bringing danger to the life and health of many people and inadvertently causing injuries of varying severity in 17 people – said Dr. Monika Kaszubowicz, deputy of the District Prosecutor in Krosno.

According to prosecutors, Michał R. from Amazing Events did not provide participants and viewers sufficient protection. In the opinion of investigators, the security zones were not sufficiently secured.
– There is always a risk of accident in automotive events, but it is the organizer who takes responsibility for ensuring safety for participants of such events: drivers and viewers – said Dr. Monika Kaszubowicz, deputy District Prosecutor in Krosno during a press conference.
According to investigators, it was necessary to create a clearly separated place for the audience and use solid dams a cushioning any blow. According to the prosecutor’s office, where the barriers were to be installed, only metal barriers were proposed.
– The recordings show that fans are behind ordinary metal barriers. In addition, at some point the fans were outside these barriers. This was reported to the organizer, but did not take proper actions. An additional fan zone was designated, which was where BMW hit – he explains.
The organizer, i.e. Michał R., refused to explain. – We sent a request to the court for the application of detention on remand for a period of three months. A threatening severe punishment and fear of mathematics were indicated as justification – the prosecutor said.

On the other hand, car drivers were accused of using the wrong driving technique, taking incorrect maneuvers, as a result of which he lost control of the vehicle and hit the fans standing directly on the airport plate by car.
Patryk Z. did not confess to the alleged deeds. During the explanations, however, he did not rule out that he could make a mistake while driving. He was released, but he must pay a financial guarantee of 100,000. zloty. He is also forbidden to leave the country and have to put on a police station.
