A new restaurant opens at Easter in Schengen Castle

It continues in the Schengen Castle: After the hotel was reopened last summer Now follows the next step to revive the historical location. As can be seen from a press release, it will soon be served there: the opening of a new restaurant is planned for April 20.

Entrepreneur Jean-Baptiste Marx had already presented his plans for the listed castle last year. At that time, the employees of the Group JBM event company gave the « Luxemburger Word » an insight into the premises and explained the progress of the construction work. In the summer, the hotel started operating with 20 rooms.

The guests now have 25 out of a total of 60 rooms, as a company employee confirmed on request. Other rooms are still in renovation. The planned equipment of the rooms with wellness facilities is also delayed: « You are not ready so far, » it says on request.

Restaurant for around 60 guests

The planned gourmet restaurant is considered the crowning glory of the concept. Already in earlier times-when the Goeres group in the castle romantic hotel operated-there was a restaurant in the side wing of the building. Now it is reopened, but in a place other than originally intended: According to the operator, it is housed in the main building, right next to the main entrance. The new restaurant should offer around 60 seats. Courts of the upscale cuisine are served, which according to writing « should underline the wealth of regional products ».

Another catering center was originally planned in the medieval tower of the castle. But as the operator suggests to the « Luxembourg word », these plans are apparently not followed up for security reasons: « The risks are too high. »
