A new exhibition space opened in Narva. This is the town hall
Spring exhibition of the Narva Art Group of Artists and photographers Vestervalli, which opened today on Sunday, March 23, marked the long -awaited event – in Narva, a new exhibition space finally appeared – in the town hall, on the ground floor, in the so -called « Marcipan Room ». “Walk with Vestervalli” (this is the name of the exhibition) is the first, but the next four are already listed in the plan.
“We are happy that this event has finally occurred – Vestervalli has a space where our work can be constantly exhibited, you can plan your exhibition activities,” says the head of the association, the famous Narva artist Olga Tyurina emotionally. – For more than one year, we turned to the city leadership with a request to help us find and organize a premises for permanent exhibitions, because beautiful artists work in Narva, we have a rich work fund. But more often we managed to organize our exhibitions in other cities of Estonia, and not in our native Narva.
Which, of course, was depressing. Even when there was a large -scale reconstruction in the town hall, the main artist of the city Denis Girenko said that the work of Narva artists, opportunities for organizing exhibitions, will necessarily be presented in the building of the building. And so we waited. The mayor of Narva Katri Raik recently called me and said that the time had come to make his plan; The deputies are also for.
According to Olga Tyurina, now the “line has formed” – the next four art exhibitions are outlined.
– This house has always been filled with creativity. And I want it to be so in the future, ”said the deputy of the Narva City Assembly, Yan Kondrashova, who came to the town hall, who came to the town hall, said.
At the exhibition “Walk with Vestervalli” the works of 14 Narva painters and four photographers are presented. They offer to take a walk along Narva, but to see a familiar and familiar sometimes with a symbolic or even surreal side.
At the exhibition “Walk with Vestervalli” in the Narva Tarly, you can visit any day of the week from 10.00 to 18.00, the entrance is free. The exhibition will work until April 20.
