A new crew with a temporary home in space

A fresh crew traveled to the International Space Station (ISS). With the Russian Soyuza, Nasa’s astronaut went to space Jonny Kim and the Russian cosmonaut Sergei Rizikov and Alexei Zubricki. Their journey to the MS-27-only station was only three hours after they were fired from the cosmodrome of Bajkonur in Kazakhstan.

The next two weeks will be home to ten people. They are currently at an American astronaut station Nichole ayers, Anne McClain and Don PettitJapanese Taku itself and the Russians Kiril sand, Ivan Vagner and Alexei Ovčinin. It is scheduled to say goodbye to Pettit, Ovčinin and Vagner, who spent seven months at the station in April.

The fresh crew will be at the station for eight months, during which time they will perform a variety of experiments, and two space walks are planned. For a 41-year-old nod and 32-year-old Zubrick, this is the first way to space, and for 50-year-old Rižikova is the third.

Top space lab has been in the spotlight in recent weeks as American astronauts were « captured » at the station Butch wilmore and Sunita Williams. Their story was read as a good movie screenplay. The test vessel went to a maximum of a 10 -day expedition last June, but due to the accumulation of technical problems, the elimination was extended to nine months, and in the end the story was given a political touch.

The ISS is jointly managed by Russia, USA, Canada, Japan and European countries, united by the European Space Agency. The station is a symbol of cooperation, and astronauts continue to work smoothly, despite the deterioration of relations between participating countries after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The station is regularly exchanged by astronauts and cosmonauts who do research work there. There are currently two means of transportation up there: the reliable Russian Soyuza, which is launched with a rocket of the same name, and American Dragons, SpaceX companies, which are launched with Falcon 9.

The ISS is expected to work by the end of this decade, and then with a special vessel they will be dragged to the atmosphere, where it will be partly burned, and the survivors will fall into the remote part of the Pacific.
