A new Christian does not yet make a new FDP
A new Christian does not yet make a new one FDP. As Successor of the long -time party chairman Christian Lindner Christian Dürr faces a much greater task than his predecessor in 2013. Even at that time, the liberals flew out of the Bundestag, but had a man at the start with Lindner who cleverly gave up the attention for the party and led them with great personal commitment through four meager years in the extra -parliamentary opposition.
Dürr, on the other hand, starts his mission with a double mortgage: The party is far less closed today than at that time – and it will find it more difficult to find publicly than Lindner. On the occupation lists of the talk show editorial teams, who are looking for eloquent, pointed, formulating guests, the name Dürr will soon be much further back than that of Lindner so far.
Christian Dürr must solve these tasks as FDP boss
To make the FDP heard is not a little bit in an ever-rotating political universe-especially since the party no longer has the Bundestag as a stage. At the same time, Dürr has to answer the question of what his new FDP should actually stand for. The voice of economic reason, which pays particular attention to solid state finances, was necessary in the traffic light coalition – but in the end too little. Do the liberals want to be greener on socio-political issues than the Greens, from cannabis approval to gender change at the push of a button? Do you have solutions for the big demographic challenges? And how can your new chairman of the Old an traffic lights, for whose failure he is responsible for the front at the front of the front was?
Questions about questions. If it wants to survive in a fragmented party system, the FDP will now have to reinvent itself – personnel and programmatically. Does your new chairman locate you more to the left of the middle like the Austrian Neos? Or how Lindner in the Liberal Conservative Spectrum? There is not much time for this: If the FDP fly out of the state parliament in the state election in its State Country in Baden-Württemberg next year, it will probably not be saved anymore.
