On Thursday, February 27, in Kokhtla-Yarva, the grand opening of the updated board of honorary citizens of the city took place. The initiator of the event was the city assembly, and the gallery itself is located in the lobby of the building of the city administration. Its main goal is to emphasize the significance of these people and express their gratitude for their contribution to the development of the city, Goroprava reports.
The board depicts all honorary citizens of the city of Kokhtla-Yarve: Roman Sheremeta (2005), Ivar Roox (2005), Valentina Trofimova (Igumeni Barvara, 2006), Ayke Mamymus (2006), George Kaminin (2006), Yulo Tambet (2008), Ilmar Talusta (2009), Vaikyka, Vaika, Vaika, Vaika. Valdmann (2010), Alexey Nikolaev (2012), Urve Kilk (2013), Valentina Tron (2014), Olga Pivovarova (2014), Vladimir Shapiro (2015), Valery Corb (2018), Heino Turkson (2023), Yuri Schmidt (2024), Alexander Dusman (2025).

The cost of a new board of honor is 11,600 euros (excluding turnover tax), the work was completed by the company « Art Depo Oü ».
