A military ceremony for the day of the highest logistics unit in the Army
Members of the Logistics Base (LB), today with a military ceremony at the Ilinden Barracks in Skopje, marked May 20, the day of the highest unit in the field of logistics in the Army. On this occasion, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sasko Lafchiski and logistics base commander, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, addressed the audience.
Chief of the Army General Staff, congratulating the day, said he was proud of the achievements that were realized in the past, emphasizing the role of the unit in dealing with the effects of the fire in Kocani, which took place on March 16 this year. On this occasion, he also recognized medical teams, staff from the Coordination Center for Support of the host country and all other members of the unit.
« Claimed logistical base, your performance during the aforementioned tasks and activities have once again proven that logistics excellence are not only to resources, but also to professionalism, discipline and teamwork, » General Lafchiski added in his address to the audience.
The logistics base commander, Colonel Muharem Muharemi, said in his address that the logistical base in recent years was actively committed to fulfilling the mission and tasks through continuous and timely support. He also referred to the collective in the LB, stressing that the success of the performance of tasks lies in teamwork and collective capacities. « Your dedication, the level reached and the established procedures are a guarantee of further positive achievements, » the Colonel said.
During today’s ceremony, more incentives were given.
Today’s ceremony was also attended by GS Director Brigadier General Orce Jordev, Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirce Gjorgoski, Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Lulzim Nuredini, the Commander of the 1st Brigadi Brigadi Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, retired generals, commanders of commands and army units and other guests.
By the decision of the President and the Supreme Commander of the Army, the logistics base celebrates May 20, in memory of the day when the Razlog uprising and the first logistical preparations for his commencement began. The basic mission of the LB is planning, organizing, coordinating and executing logistical support to the commands and units of the Macedonian Army.
