A macabre plan of 19-year-old. He attacked couriers for money
He wrote about this gruesome case « Fakt » several times. Now we are coming back to her again, because new circumstances have appeared.
The lust for money overshadowed his eyes. He attacked the courier
Mariusz P. did not have a job, but the long grew. He came up with a shocking idea on how to get cash. It was enough to order expensive equipment, and then … brutally attack innocent couriers. The police could not catch him for a long time. He used false data, masked IP. Everything was carefully planned.
A tragedy occurred in the forest in Ostrów near Myszków. The 61-year-old was attacked, Mariusz P. hit him with a stone on his head. The victim fought for her life for four months in the hospital. To this day, it has not regained full fitness.
After the attack on the courier, he escaped. He sold stolen equipment in Lombard in Wrocław for 4,000 zloty. The police could not track him at the time because he used false data. A few days later, Mariusz P. again planned a similar robbery on a courier.

This time he ordered goods for 15,000 zloty. Modus Operandi was supposed to be the same. Although the 19-year-old prepared better. He bought a balaclava, packed a hammer, knife, compression bands and gloves into his backpack. He even informed his cousin about the robbery, saying to him, « but he is lut ».
He made an appointment with the courier in the garages in Myszków on September 5, 2023. Fortunately, the courier employees asked for police assistance. When the equipment was transferred, Mariusz P. was detained in the act. He fought fiercely with three policemen, they had to ask for help to overpower the growing teenager.
A sentence was passed in court. 15 years behind bars. The accused and the prosecutor appealed
In the court in Częstochowa in October last year, Mariusz P. heard a sentence. Judge Piotr Sikora sentenced him to 15 years in prison, he decided that there was no doubt that the young bandit tried to kill. The young man showed no repentance, his emotions were invisible. Only mother's tears testified to the family tragedy. The family of Mariusz P. undertook to pay 100,000 PLN compensation to a seriously wounded courier. But the defenders appealed. Just like the prosecutor's office.
– Today the appeal hearing took place. The prosecutor demands an increase in a sentence to 25 years in prison for Mariusz P., and the defender of a milder sentence, claiming that he has no evidence of attempted murder. As for the second allegation of the assault on the courier, the defender questioned the robbery using a dangerous tool. Defense claims that the accused did not even take him out – said judge Gwidon Jaworski, spokesman for the Court of Appeal in Katowice in an interview with « Fakt ».
Will the Court of Appeal convince all this? The perpetrator of this macabre is still in custody. The final judgment will hear on March 31 at 10:00.
