A Luxembourg original meets Jason Statham
Guest Rollinger, poet, director, but also teacher, died on October 25, 2024 at the age of 78. Well, almost exactly five months later, Fränz Hausemer puts a monument to the Luxembourg original: with the 71-minute documentation « Terre Rouge – Topography du Poète ».
Hausemer, who set up an album with poems of Rollinger with other musicians last year, portrays the artist in his kingdom: his parents’ house, in which he lived in harmony with the nature surrounding him and the relics of industrial past in the south of the country.
This week offers a contrast program for this cinematic work director David Ayer (« Suicide Squad »). After the action hit « The Beekeeper » from 2024, he lets in « A Working Man » Stand again the British action hero Jason Statham – based on a script, in which Sylvester Stallone was also involved.
Levon Cade (Jason Statham) has left his former, quite bloody life behind and is now working on the construction. But the peaceful calm is quickly overwhelmed as the daughter of his boss is kidnapped by human dealers. In search of her, Cade also tracks down a conspiracy.
Restart number three this week is « Horizons »A Luxembourg co -production that the cinema audience kidnaps to Colombia: Basilio (Claudio Cataño) and his mother (Paulina García) travel to her past after her death. Especially for Basilio, which was once a criminal, this is an opportunity to face his previous deeds.
Even further back in time it goes in the biopic « Sarah Bernhardt, La Divine »: It tells the story of actress Sarah Bernhardt (1844-1923, represented by Sandrine Kiberlain), which can be described as one of the first big stars in the world. The film illuminates some scenes from her life around the turn of the century.
This is the end of a Chinese animated film: « Ne Zha 2 – Mo Tong Nao Hai « . Like the first work, which came to cinemas in 2019, it is based on a novel from the 16th century, which deals with the life of Taoist protective deity ne ZHA.
