A journey crowned with art – Cyprus Newspaper
Cypriot artist Feza Aygın Sanırvar was awarded the first prize at the Paper Art Competition, which was held in Yalova.

Cypriot artist Feza Aygın Sanvar was invited to the International Yalova Paper Days Festival held in Yalova, Türkiye between 5-7 April 2025. Sanvar attracted great attention with his works of handmade papers and paper he exhibited at the festival.
Orange tree fiber in Cyprus, cemile flower, molehiya plant, cabbage, reed, mulberry tree, lemon and straw, such as the papers produced from the festival, such as the festival Sananvar, also gave information to visitors about paper production in Cyprus. He created awareness about plant paper with the examples in the booth.
Sanırvar stated that he had the opportunity to encounter the work of artists from various countries during the festival and said, “I observed that cotton fabric wastes, waste papers and plant fibers were at the forefront in paper production in Yalova. It was a very valuable experience to see different techniques.”
In the last day of the festival on April 7, the “Paper Art Competition önemli was awarded the first prize of Sanvar’s work from handmade papers. Orum I am proud and happiness of bringing this award to my country. This award was the best news for me on my paper journey that I have been going on with great passion for years, ”he said.
The success of Sanırvar is considered as an important development in terms of increasing the interest in art with natural materials as well as the Cyprus art community.
