A home becomes a petting zoo
Actually, we already had enough animal entertainment with a dog. But then the cats came. Two of the number, small, fluffy, cute – and, as it should turn out, true troublemakers. So now we live in a household that is slowly but surely turning into a petting zoo, to the delight of our children.
The first few days were quiet. We also thought: « Oh, they have to get used to it first. » The two spent a lot of time under the couch, but then they ventured – and discovered their new home. However, not necessarily in the best way.
An unattended roll? Zack – disappeared.
The tap turned out to be the source of infinite fascination. As soon as you turn around, it drips. Why? Because our new roommates learned how to turn it up. They are also true masters in stealing. An unattended roll? Zack – disappeared. If there is nothing to get edible, plant leaves become a delicacy, which often ends with a fallen flower pot. The kitchen? No longer our kingdom. Cupboards are inspected, and apparently there is no more comfortable place than the hob.
Dangerous bottle lids and my search for the real solution
In the eyes of the cats, toilet water is an exquisite washing facility. The plan is planned there with enthusiasm, only to cuddle in our bed afterwards. A dream …
But all of this ultimately shows only one thing: they feel at home after a very short time. Chaos or not. Hopefully you will be quieter at some point. Until then, however, a few turbulent years are likely to pass.

The “gazettchen” is an informal column in which the authors legally tell about their everyday experiences or even give an insight into their thoughts. This has a long tradition: On December 3, 1946, an opinion with the title « Today » appears for the first time at the top of the side left on the first local side in the « Luxemburger Word ». On January 13, 1971, the « Gazettchen », which has been extremely popular with readers, then became the « gazette », which has kept its Premium-Platz in Luxembourg's top-class daily newspaper to this day and across all layout.
