A farewell, at Praid

To the shame, the bad luck and the hazard of my roads I never came to Praid. For me, the saline flooding resembles a door that closes to the end of the world, as Jose Luis Borges says. And that I will never be able to enter. With this regret in mind I read all kinds of articles, opinions, information, reports. I save some like unnecessary photos, without knowing why. Stories about the situation created at Praid outline the tragic story of a place lost forever. The unhappiness of the traveler who can no longer descend into the praid saline is of literature. Information, reports and statements of witnesses and experts on account of this tragedy say a lot about the hall where our public affairs have reached.

Who drove the saline from Praid?

« The current director, Dan Dobrea, is in charge of 2022, with experience in management, unrelated, but with the mining sector. He was appointed by the former Minister of Economy, Florin Spătaru (PSD), the two being former colleagues in UNPR Galaţi, where Dobrea was the head of the county organization of the formation led at national level by former Minister Gabriel, RIGHT Point.ro.

According to his own CV, quoted by the publication, Dobrea was a restaurant administrator, car trade company, respectively of an insurance company. Starting with 2020 he was an inspector at Lehliu Gară City Hall, and then worked in Galaţi City Hall, from where he became director over a company with 1,300 employees and seven saline in administration ”. « The NGO of the Cholonky Ieno Geography Society in Cluj has under the custody of Salina Praid, that is, it deals with financing, works, revisions and, thus, the safety of the people living there. However, an explosive document shows that these financing were blocked by the NGO.« (Realitatea.net)

Daniel David, a former rector (?) Of Babebeș Bolyai University) sees the evil even deeper, at the root of things:

« In the area of ​​high school education we are in the stone era, not even the Middle Ages. The truth is that things need to be changed and they need to be changed quickly. We need new disciplines, we need new contents, we need new teaching methods, we need new manuals. » (Daniel David, Minister of Education by mistake).

At a certain point, he is right, including regarding him. Romania is right in the « stone age » of the arrangements!

Under the terrified eyes of the locals, however, they reached a kind of solution:

The Minister of Economy, a doctor in frightened promises, launches an idea meant to anesthetize the dissatisfaction and anger of the locals:

« We explore the opportunity to make a new saline, because the salt massif is a very important and very large one and then we explore this opportunity through which we will be able to make a new saline, an exploitation of new salt, to keep this brand extremely important for Romania and for Europe, namely Salina Praid, which is attractive to the Sovata area, not just for the area. » (Bogdan Ivan, Minister of Economy)

« What are the tourists who will have the courage and confidence to enter this saline knowing that under them is a large water in a salt tank whose stability we can only speak theoretically, because, practically, it is very difficult to know and foresee how they will erode and when the determining factors for the structures of the mines will be stabilized.
