The perpetrator will hear the allegation of attempted murder. Pursuant to the regulations, this act has been punishable by 8 years in prison and even life imprisonment. Investigators are waiting for the possibility of conducting procedural activities with him. The case is supervised by the Toruń prosecutor’s office. Procedural activities are aimed at accurately determining the course and motives of the attack. The officers do not rule out any scenario.
Toruń. Brutal assault in the park
The incident occurred around 1 am. In the Glazja Park, the well -known Torunians as a place of walks and rest, a dramatic scene took place. A 24-year-old woman fell victim to a brutal attack. According to information obtained from the police, the attacker was a 19-year-old Venezuela citizen.
As informed by asp. Dominika Bocian, spokesman for the Municipal Police Headquarters in Toruń:
« The 19-year-old was targeted by uniformed after reporting from an accidental witness. Police activities are ongoing to secure traces and evidence in the case. »
The attacker tried to run away and hid for some time from the officers.
The witness heard the screams through the window
The witness who heard the screams coming from the park immediately reacted. He ran out of the apartment, and his presence probably frightened the aggressor and interrupted the ongoing attack. It was this man who informed the police, which made it possible to quickly start operational activities.
According to officers’ accounts, a man who tried to kill a woman, he had 1.2 per mil of alcohol in his blood at the time of arrest. He has not yet been questioned by the prosecutor.
The 24-year-old condition is very severe. The woman was taken to a life -threatening hospital. As reported by asp. Stork: « The woman was in a very bad condition to the hospital. » It is known that the injured person suffered extensive injuries.
