At the ÖVP, six mandates are re -awarded, three of them via the federal list, two Lower Austrian and a Tyrolean mandate. Four places will be filled at the SPÖ, two at the Neos.
The formation of government does not have so small effects on the National Council. Twelve previous MPs will be rewarded with a ministerial office or a state secretariat. This could result in various comebacks, such as Rudolf Taschner, Kira Grünberg, Franz Hörl and Muna Duzdar. SP federal managing director Klaus RACHERHEIM is likely to come to the National Council for the first time.
The ÖVP is most affected. Six mandates are re -awarded, three of them via the federal list, two Lower Austrian and a Tyrolean mandate.
Former ÖVP mandate before return
Irene Neumann-Hartberger has decided to move into the National Council via a federal mandate instead of the mandate of ÖVP boss Christian Stocker in the South constituency. As the ÖVP Lower Austria announced, Stocker's mandate goes to Thomas Elian, community party chairman of Schwarzau am Steinfeld (Neunkirchen district).
Second and three of the federal folklors, the previous educational spokesman Rudolf Taschner and Kira Grünberg, both represented in the National Council in the past two legislative periods. After them it would be the turn of cable car lobbyist Franz Hörl. This will probably take place in the National Council again in the middle of the year with the change from Karoline Edtstadler to the Salzburg state government.
Norbert Tettschnig's mandate is also free on the Tyrolean state list. The lawyer Jakob Grüner would be logical. Friedrich Ofenauer returns to the National Council on Gerhard Karner's Lower Austrian State list mandate.
Four SPÖ re-occupied
Four sacrifications come about at the SPÖ. The Upper Austrian mandate of Eva Maria Holzleitner should mean the return of Elisabeth Feichtinger. Jörg Leichtfried's seat should go to Manfred Harrer, Oststeirer. Furthermore, two mandates are released via the federal list. These go to the former State Secretary Muna Duzdar and Federal Managing Director Klaus RASHEIM.
After all, Beate Meinl-Reisinger and Josef Schellhorn's mandates have to be filled with the NEOS. If everything goes according to the lists, the Kärntner state spokesman Janos Juvan over the federal list and the IT employee Ines Holzegger via the Vienna state list. (APA)
