In March, he announced that the Starship spacecraft would be sent to Mars at the end of next year with the humanoid Optimus robot on board and did not rule out that People will land on the Red Planet in 2029, although he stated that 2031 is more likely.
Russia announced that in 2022 it would start work on its own mission on Mars after the European Space Agency (ESA) withdrew from the joint project of Examars exploration, and the mission that was to provide the Russian landing platform with a European rover on board, did not come to fruition.
