A clear commitment to Northern Stad is required from Bettendorf

After the citizens’ decision of March 23 The municipal council of Bettendorf decidedto invite the four mayors of the other municipalities for a working meeting. As a reminder: In the referendum, the citizens of the municipality of Bettendorf had fed up with around 57 percent of the votes castFor the continuation of the merger negotiations with the other four Nordstad communities Diekirch, Erpeldingen on the Sauer, Ettelbrück and Schieren.

Local council Bettendorf has to act

Claude Gleis, Mayor of the municipality of Erpeldingen, answered the letter regarding the work session on the Sauer and at the same time spokesman for the Nordstad communities, on Monday with a clear request: The four Nordstad communities are very open to a constructive exchange.
