On Saturday, April 20, a tragic event took place in the tourist and spa town of Bad Nauheim in Hesse – two people were shot on the street. According to the DPA agency, the attacker escaped from the crime scene, and the police are still looking for him.
Police spokesman in 33 thousand residents of Bad Nauheim announced that the first application for a shooting was affected by an alarm number around 18. After reaching the site, the officers discovered two victims with gunshot wounds in front of the three -story building. The age and gender of the dead have not yet been revealed, and the perpetrator’s motives remain unknown.

One of the residents, visiting his parents at that time, told the daily « Bild » that his family had just returned from a walk when she heard about six shots. Shortly afterwards, constant screams were heard.
At first it was not clear what exactly happened. When the man looked out the window, he saw the crime scene directly. Many people gathered outside, among them a girl who shouted « Dad! Dad! » For fear of his own safety, he decided to stay at home because he wasn’t sure if the attacker was still nearby.
Services quickly arrived, which separated a wide area around the crime scene. Special forces secured the streets, and a police helicopter patrolled over the city.
The police warn the inhabitants of Hesse
That same evening, the police in an interview with « Bild » confirmed that according to her, one perpetrator was responsible for the attack. However, he has not been able to determine his identity or whereabouts. Although the police ensure that the inhabitants are not in danger, they strongly warn against taking hitchhikers.
Until now, it is not certain whether the attacker was acting alone or whether he had partners.
