A 12-year-old man stabbed in Oulu was guilty of attempted murder, not to be sentenced to punishment

Oulu On Monday, the District Court gave his judgment in the case of an adult man attacked a 12-year-old boy in the Valkea shopping center in Oulu last June.
According to the indictment, the man tried to kill a 12-year-old boy by stabbing him several times. In addition, the man tried to stab another boy, but he managed to escape from the situation.
Already in October, the court gave an intermediate judgment in which it stated that a 34-year-old man had acted as described in the prosecution. At that time, however, the court did not comment on the criminal title.
Now the district court condemned the man for two attempts to murder and one illegal threat. He was left without guilty sentence.
The district court had previously found that the man was guilty when doing the act, that was, did not understand the consequences of his actions. He was assigned to involuntary psychiatric treatment.
Prosecutor He claimed at least ten years in prison for two attempts to murder and one illegal threat.
According to the prosecutor, the man chose his victims based on his skin color and the acts had a racist motive. Both victims are foreign background.
The District Court also held that the man committed crimes of a skin -based and ethnic origin. This was referred to, among other things, by the fact that the man did not try to target violence on a blonde -haired person with the victims.
The court also stated that the stabbing was ruthless, resolute and particularly raw. However, according to the court, the man did not act firmly carefully.
« Given the special brutality of the act and the making of the racist motive is completely unpredictable and from behind, the victim is unable to defend himself, the act as a whole is also gross, » the court mentioned.
Knife The man who carried with him followed the boys from the street into the mall and attacked the victim there. The man stabbed a 12-year-old boy several times in the upper body and head area.
After that, he also tried to hit another boy with a knife. The guard caught the man in the vicinity of the mall and managed to curb him.
The man has admitted that he had stabbed a 12-year-old boy and was about to harm the other. However, he denied the purpose of killing.
During the interrogations, the man appealed, among other things, to the delusions and that he thought he was followed. According to him, the act would not have joined the victim's immigrant background.
A man with a far -right background has been a member of the Nordic Resistance Movement, which has since been abolished by a court decision.
He also has a history of far -right violence.
The man was convicted of, among other things, stabbing at the Jyväskylä Library and this previous case of a left -wing politician.
