82th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. Apple flower in action daffodils
April 19 will be 82 years since the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising. The museum emphasizes that it was not only an armed speech, but also the actions of those who saved others, documented reality or created music and literature to keep memory. On this day, on the streets of Warsaw and other cities in Poland and abroad, volunteers will give away paper daffodils – a symbol of the memory of the heroes of the Uprising from 1943. This year the 13th edition of this action will take place.

The daffodil action is addressed to educational and cultural institutions. The museum informs that all submitted institutions will receive free educational materials such as Poster exhibition, stories and films, along with lesson scenarios and work cards. In addition, every class participating in the April educational workshops in the museum will receive a set of « stories with values » prepared as part of the campaign.
Special attention in this year’s edition It will be devoted to various manifestations of courage. It is around this topic that new educational materials prepared for schools and libraries are focused.

The meeting « here is the object » and the premiere of the film « 33 photos from the ghetto »
According to the POLIN Museum calendar, on April 10 at 6pm it will take place Meeting from the series « Here is the object ». Participants will be able to see the selected one souvenirs from the museum collection, such as letters, photos, documents and everyday items. Each exhibit tells the story of courage – the quiet, daily, hidden behind the walls of the ghetto.
The POLIN Museum also invites you to The premiere screening of the movie « 33 photos from the ghetto »which will take place on April 15 at 18 in the Museum’s auditorium. The document presents the history of negatives made by Zbigniew Leszek Grzywaczewski, a fireman working in the ghetto in 1943, which after 80 years his son found.
