44. Franja BTC City Marathon from 13 to 15. 6. 2025

Within three days, seven cycling trials will take place of different complexity for amateur and recreational cyclists. This year the Franja Marathon brings novelty – the new MTB route Ljubljana Dragon MTB Challenge Powered by Ees Systems.

The first performance of the Franjo Marathon dates back to 1982 and in 2010 became part of the World Marathon Series UCI Gran Fondo World Series and counts as a qualification for the Amateur Cyclists Championship.

This year, at its 44th. The performance, which will fill the roads with sports enthusiasts from June 13 to 15, will re -drive cyclists along seven different routes, traditionally divided according to their complexity.

You are the most enthusiastic on Sunday, June 15, invited to a 154-kilometer line Franja BTC City Marathon. Follows her Triglav Little Marathon Franja with 97 kilometers. This is designed to take a large proportion of the route along the same path as the original Franja Marathon.

On Friday, June 13th, the Ljubljana -Domžale -Ljubljana by Union Radler Isotonic 0.0 will be scheduled.

Participants who will choose on Saturday, June 14, Barjanka by GH Holdingawaits a 77 -kilometer panoramic experience that will take you through the Ljubljana Marshes Landscape Park.

Families with children, school youth and cyclists beginners can take the 25-kilometer route on Saturday, June 14 Medex Family-School Marathon.

For the youngest, however, it is also organized on Saturday, June 14 Mutual Children’s Cycling Challenge With a 1000-meter circular ride on BTC City.

This year’s novelty is Ljubljana Dragon MTB Challenge Powered by Ees Systemswhich will be on Saturday, June 14th. It is a challenging, 97 -kilometer route with a 2300 -meter altitude difference for teams of three cyclists. The route offers a vibrant ordeal through the green surroundings of Ljubljana and will delight all lovers of forest and gravel path. The challenge is a non -competitive nature. We recommend e-bikes for less prepared.

With its long tradition, the Franja Marathon contributes to the promotion of cycling and thus a healthy lifestyle. Despite maintaining the cycling tradition of the marathon, it is gaining new dimensions through partnership support, global dimension, attendance and diversity of cycling trials.

Friday, 13.6. 2025, Start at 4pm

The start of the race will be in BTC, then it will turn on the Šmartinska Road, the direction of Šentjakob, where the route will pass by AC-Piklikučka LJ Sneberje, cross the Zasavska Road in Šentjakob, continue through Podgorica, Dragomelj to Domžale, where it will turn and back the same path.

For a smooth and safe course of the race, the entire route will be closed for all traffic between 15 and 21. All connections to the route will be closed.

Medex Family-School Marathon

Saturday, 14 June 2025, start at 4pm

The marathon begins on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 4 pm at BTC City (Ljubljana). The route leads from BTC through Šentjakob to Dragomelj, where we turn right towards Psa, through Bišce and Ihan to Domžale, where a refreshment station and a mandatory fifteen-minute stop will be. It will continue along Ljubljana Road to Šentjakob and back to BTC City.

Franja BTC City Marathon

Sunday, 15.6. 2025, between 9am and 5pm

Due to the cycling marathon on Sunday, June 15, 2025, between 9am and 5pm, traffic on the BTC City Ljubljana -Vrhnika -GOVIC -IDRIJA -CLANJNO -CLAJNO -Gorenje vas -škofja Loka -Zbilje -Vodice -Povodje -Gameljne -BTC Ljubljana will be obstructed on the route BTC City City – Gorno -Idija -Čorenja -škorja Loka Loka -Zbilje – Vodice -Vodice -Gamelj – Gameljne -BTC Ljubljana, between 11am and 13 o’clock. Most – Dobrova -Horjul -Vrzdenec -Suhi Dol -Gorenja vas. In some places, long -lasting complete traffic closures will be established. Most of the detours will be arranged. On all major road connections along the marathon route, traffic will be directed by police officers and organizer police officers.

Complete closures and detours:

Brezovica -Vrhnika:

The section will be closed from 9 hours to 9.45. The detour is possible on the highway.

Godovich -Idrija:

The section will be closed from 9.40 to 1 pm. The detour will be held on the Idrija -Rebro -Dole -Govovič route.

Cerkno -Kladje -Trebija:

The section will be closed from 10.40 to 3pm. The detour will be guided on the routes of Trebija -Žiri -Idrija and Hotavlje -Leskovica -Novaki -Cerkno. On the route of Škofja Loka -Cerkno, a detour will be guided across Železniki.

Jeprca connection:

The Jeprca connection will be closed from 10.55 to 3 pm in the direction of travel from Medvod to Škofja Loka. The detour will be guided in the direction of Škofja Loka across Kranj and in the direction of Smlednik across Medvode.

Ljubljana:

In the Ljubljana area, Gameljska cesta, Dunajska cesta, Dimičeva ulica, Kranjčeva ulica, Rondo Žale, Cemetery Street and Šmartinska Road and the area to the destination in BTC will be closed from 12 to 5 hours.

Highway exports:

From 11.30 to 3.30 pm, a complete closure of motorway exports of Vodice is envisaged. The detour to Vodice will be guided across the Brnik motorway connection.

From 12 to 5pm, Ljubljana LJUBLJANA LJUBLJANA LJUBLJANA is scheduled.
