40 -year -old man detained for domestic violence and sexual abuse of a 15 -year -old girlfriend

A 40 -year -old man was arrested last week on suspicion of domestic violence, a crime he had already detained, and sexual abuse against a 15 -year -old.

The minor's mother reported in the Oeiras squad the existence of a relationship of dating between her daughter and the suspect.

« The followed investigation revealed that the minor will have developed depressive symptoms, severe anxiety and disinterest in his daily life, as a result of the defendant's controlling and abusive behaviors, » says the PSP, in a statement released this Saturday.

The minor met the defendant in social events, related to hobbies they both had, and will have begun a relationship, during which the defendant exerted significant control over the life of the minor, « including the way he dressed, forcing her to change clothes when she didn't like her, and insulting it. »

« In addition, it required the minor to maintain permanent telephone contact with him, including at night, which affected his school performance and overall well-being, » police added.

The minor will have put an end to the relationship, but the suspect did not accept and chased her, appearing where she knew she was, controlling her and intimidating her.

The defendant, who already has criminal records, including an effective prison sentence served by similar facts against an ex-girlfriend.

It has already been heard in court and the measure of coercion of pre-trial detention has been applied.
