A 39-year-old Styrian, who shot two arrows on his girlfriend with a sports sheet, was guilty of the jury on Thursday at the Graz Court of Criminal Court for attempted murder and resistance to state power. He took 20 years in prison. The judgment is not final. The negotiation had started on Tuesday.
For the second day of the trial, only the four expert discussions were on the plan. But right at the beginning of the negotiation, the accused asked for the word: « The whole story was invented by me. » At that time he took his usual drugs at night, but then injected ketamine for the first time. « Suddenly it pulled me to bed, as with Treibsand, » he described his memories. « From then on, I don’t know anything anymore, just shreds, » he said. « I’m sorry for the heart. I didn’t want that to happen, » he said. He invented the crime, « but I will have shot, » he admitted.
Victim would have died without surgery
Then four experts were heard. The shot appraiser came to the conclusion that the arrows were shot down on the lying woman and that she could not be « in any way », as the accused said on Tuesday. The forensic doctor described that the arrow in the flank of the woman perforated the spleen, liver and heart. The tip penetrated into the heart muscle through the pericardium. Because the arrow was still in it, the blood was slowly peeled into the pericardium. However, if she had been in the apartment even longer without surgery, she would have died: « The pericardium would then have slowly bricked up with blood. At some point, the heart could no longer beat, » she said.
The arrow in the flank of the 42-year-old was life-threatening in several ways. He stuck 30 to 35 centimeters deep in her body after length. Incidentally, the spleen had to be removed from the victim. The second arrow, which penetrated into the left cheek over his shoulder, was a « slight injury ».
The accused according to the expert
According to the toxicological report, the accused had an entire drug cocktail in his blood: morphine, methamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis. Five different psychotropic drugs were detected. Nevertheless, the psychiatric expert assumes that the 39 -year -old was accountable – but limited. Due to the acute intoxication by the addicts, the accused had a « medium -sized but not a full intoxication, » said the expert.
He recognized a mental behavioral disorder in the Styrian, but not yet fully shaped personality disorder. However, this would be highly likely to develop if you take further drugs. A weaning is therefore necessary. Otherwise, the man can again put similar violent acts of violence at any time under the influence of drugs.
The private participant representative called for the victim to pay pain in the amount of 10,000 euros and a repayment of all the consequences of their injuries that still occur. The defendant surprisingly said: « I am happy to pay for it. » (APA)
