30.6 million euros for film support and audiovisual contests
The cinema and audiovisual financial support contests of 2025 opened on Tuesday with a fourth of 30.6 million euros. The value represents a rise of 950 thousand euros compared to 2024.
On the official page, the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual (ICA) details the amounts available for each of the programs in the areas of Cinema and Audiovisual. These include writing, production, distribution, display, festivals, international promotion and co -production protocols.
In the distribution of funds between the financing subprograms, the new talents and the first works in fiction feature film maintains the amount of 3.9 million euros.
The general film program totals 16.2 million euros, with about 1.3 million euros than in 2024. The audiovisual and multimedia support program also maintains the same 7.6 million euros.
The Internationalization Support Program has this year 1.1 million euros, or 620 thousand euros compared to 2024, because one of the subprograms of promotion and international promotion for sector associations is biennial.
The calendar of the contests is announced by the same day that the government publishes in Diário da República the ordinance that authorizes that institute to share the 30.6 million euros for contracts to be celebrated within the scope of support between 2025 and 2030.
