22 wind turbines are built at these locations
In the Bavarian State Forests, the construction of up to 22 new wind turbines have been launched. For three wind farms in Upper Bavaria and Franconia, location guarantee contracts are now signed after the tenders have been completed, as the state forests say. Until when the plants go into operation is not yet clear because of the approval process that follows, but according to a spokesman it would be a duration of four to five years.

How many wind turbines are there in the Bavarian State Forests?
« The dynamics when expanding wind energy on the areas of the Bavarian State Forests is still high, » says its CEO Martin Neumeyer, praising the plans. His chairman of the supervisory board, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger (Free Voters), also sees the state forest on the right track to achieve the goal of producing a total of 500 wind turbines in the state forest by 2030. « The wind power expansion picks up speed, » he said.
According to the Bavarian state forest, 101 wind turbines have been built on their areas so far. Another eight should go into operation shortly. For around 30 plants, construction should start in the current year and the prerequisites for up to 162 further new facilities are created. (dpa)
