22% of citizens have not yet decided which party to vote / day
More often, their choice of the party to support municipal elections has been made by residents aged 55-65, residents with family income 1001-1500 euros per person, as well as those living in Riga. In contrast, indecisive ways are more often with higher income per person in the family (1501 euros and more). 21% of Latvian citizens do not plan to participate in local elections. Such a decision has been made more often by respondents with low family income (up to 300 euros per person in the family).
The survey of people’s choice in municipal elections was conducted by research firm Kantar from June 3 to 5, 2025, through the Internet through the Internet, surveyed 728 Latvian citizens aged 18 to 65.

Latvian citizens who plan to participate in municipal elections most often have identified the values and ideology of the party (33%) as the party’s choice criteria (33%), the party’s previous jobs in the respondent in the municipality (32%), as well as the reputation of the party and deputy candidates (29%). The reputation of party and deputy candidates as a choice criterion has been more likely to have been given by leaders and senior specialists, while less often. A remarkable proportion, or 19% of Latvian citizens, said that one of the criteria after which the party will have their own personal experience or interaction with the party, while 17% said they would evaluate the experience of deputy candidates.
