Consuming a fruit containing phosmia residues above allowed levels can have consequences for human health, especially if exposure is repeated, as phosmet is a toxic chemical.

Investigations showed that the procedure for returning the unsafe product was done without the knowledge of the NFA and the farmer et said it has destroyed the product returned by the food business operator in an unidentified country. The farmer himself claimed to have dumped the merchandise in the landfill of the Municipality of Dimal where the inspection showed that there was no product residue.
