21.00. Great Voting Presence in Italy
Over 374,000 voters appeared at the ballot box in the diaspora, until Saturday, at 9:00 pm (Romania time), to vote at the first round of the presidential elections, according to the data provided in real time by the Permanent Electoral Authority.
According to the AEP, from the opening of the ballot boxes, respectively on Thursday evening, 22:00 at Romania (7:00 local time) and until Saturday, at 9:00 pm, 374.109 Romanian citizens were presented.
Also, 4,106 voters voted by correspondence, the total of the votes expressed abroad being currently 378,215.
Most Romanian voters voted in Italy – 65,650, Germany – 60,729, UK – 58,813, Spain – 49,373, Republic of Moldova – 33,602, France – 18,310 Romanian citizens. In the United States, 4,445 Romanians voted, and in Canada – 3,907.

The vote in the diaspora in the presidential elections takes place over three days, from Friday to Sunday:
* Friday, May 2, between 7:00 and 21:00 (local hours);
* Saturday, May 3, between 7:00 and 21:00 (local hours);
* Sunday, May 4, between 7:00 (local time) and 21:00 (local time of Romania).
In the 965 polling stations in the diaspora organized for this year presidential elections, Romanian citizens who are abroad can vote on the day of the election, whether or not they have their domicile or residence abroad.
